The website prettyteacupsmaltese.com has been identified as running a pet scam. Throughout our investigation, we discovered several red flags. Firstly, there is no verifiable physical address for the business listed on any of the pages. Additionally, we were unable to find any legitimate reviews about this breeder. The images of the pets for sale on the website are fake, as we found similar images on copycat websites. Furthermore, the wording used on different pages has been copied from other pet scam websites. It is also worth noting that the domain name was registered just 109 days ago, which raises suspicions. Lastly, we could not find any social media accounts associated with this fake pet store. What is a pet scam?

Online pet scams involve deceptive practices where scammers trick people by showcasing attractive pet images and claiming that the pets are available for sale or adoption. They may even offer the pets for free, with only shipping fees required. To appear legitimate, these fraudsters create fake logistics websites that pretend to be reputable shipping companies. Communication with victims usually occurs through messaging platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, or Facebook.

Scammers rarely engage in voice calls and almost never agree to video conferences, making it difficult for victims to verify the existence of the pet. Once the victim pays the shipping fee, the scammers may invent stories about customs delays and demand additional clearance fees. This cycle of deception continues until the victim realizes that the pet does not exist, leaving them emotionally and financially devastated.
