The website pawsomegreatdane.com has been reported for running a pets for sale scam. It is concerning that there are no contact numbers for customer support available on the website. Additionally, the verbiage found on various pages has been duplicated from other similar scam websites. It is worth noting that the registration of the domain name is recent, occurring just 83 days ago. Furthermore, there is a lack of legitimate reviews about this breeder that we could verify or find. Another red flag is that none of the pages on the website provide a verifiable physical address for the business. Our investigation also revealed no social media accounts for this breeder. Lastly, it is important to mention that the animal photos presented on this site are fake. What is a pet scam?

What is a pet scam?

Online pet scams are deceptive practices where fraudsters attract victims with enticing images of pets, purporting them to be for sale or up for free adoption, with only shipping fees required. They create an illusion of legitimacy by using fake logistics websites, masquerading as shipping companies. Post payment of the shipping fee, they may concoct stories about customs delays, soliciting additional clearance fees.

These scammers typically communicate via messaging platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, or Facebook, rarely over voice channels, and almost never via video conference, thus denying any requests to view the pet on a live video call. This scam cycle continues until the victim realizes the non-existence of the pet, often leaving them emotionally and financially devastated.
