What is a pet scam?

In truth, these scammers are not genuine breeders and there are no pets to be sold. To enhance the illusion of authenticity, they sometimes recruit accomplices who set up fraudulent logistics websites.

These sites masquerade as pet shipping services, giving the buyer a false assurance that their new companion will be safely delivered to their doorstep. As the scam progresses, the unsuspecting victim is prompted to pay for transportation and other fees associated with the pet’s journey. Unfortunately, once the payment is transferred, the scammer vanishes, leaving the buyer without their money or the beloved pet they were hoping to welcome into their home.
