What is a pet scam?

These sites masquerade as legitimate pet shipping companies, tasked with the safe delivery of the nonexistent pet, thereby providing an additional layer of false assurance to the unsuspecting buyer.

The scam reaches its climax when the victim is instructed to pay for the pet’s transportation and other related fees. Once the payment is transferred, the scammer vanishes without a trace, and the eagerly anticipated pet never materializes, leaving the victim both heartbroken and financially depleted.
